Great Weather this weekend
for the 131 running of the preakness.

It was interesting.
Bunmi's horse hit his head @ the start of the race exiting the gate, Barbaro
then got jacked up & injured badly on the track. [unable to finish the race]
and My Brother -in Law's horse [Brother Derrick?] finished poorly.

Bernardini Won*. {My Horse "Sweetnorthernsaint" 8-1, came in 2nd place.} Followed by Hemingswaykey, and Brother Derrick.

Afterwards ? We ditched the car, loaded up Bunmi's minivan with 8 of our friends
Nosiest and most humorous little children [age range 4 - 10]
collectively [Bunmi's Treat] We headed down i-95 to the Orioles
Nats Game.
You have not LIVED until you try that one! [like, I was on troop duty, in the girl scouts] But it was so much FUN---Doing the wave! Teaching them rude things to yell at the players on the field? Getting up on our feet to dance, when they blasted "Reggaeton's" music [at least 5 times] on the ballpark's speakers ! Cheering on the rival teams and courieing hot dogs & cracker jacks and lemonade, up and down the steep bleachers, to eager hungry little mouths & hands. {Me- the Den Mother on Latrine duty]
We returned home a little before 11:PM [ We left a little early - the Orioles by then sincerely losing, The Baltimore/Howard County Crew [high on sugar] sleepy with assorted National's Baseball team's paraphernalia, just Happy Children needing to be returned safely back into their Parents custody.[2 separate families worth]

Eight Children? Whoa? I don't really think that We'll try having 8 of our own - [we'll deal with one at a time, thank you! ] but It was LOTS of fun kicking it with all of them for ONE evening. [smile]

I also figured out probably 1000 x 8 more reasons, Why I love My "Horse Race, Losing" Husband on the noisy ride back home. --I married a thoughtful crazy adventurous generous, Man -- and - in the words of singer - Ms. Toni Braxton? "I love me some him!" ......Always! until next time, walk good ~ peace, nyao
